It is recommended to use truncation to search IPC-classes for patents,
because there are several versions of the classification system and the classes are entered in slightly different formats.

Searching several classes in the search field IPC classes combined with AND/OR shows hits on the exact combinations. Example: "C12N 1/00" and "A23K 3/03"

If you wish to search for published patents or an extract of patent applications for a specific time period and/or
